  • img_2326 Elnora anchored in Port Audrey (N60 20.59 W147 46.13) The remains of a fish cannery are located here. The cannery was abandoned during WWII and is very overgrown but you can still find remains of the dock, worker cabins and machinery. Behind Elnora is a small channel about 30-40' wide that can be used at high tide to access a secluded lagoon large enough for several boats to anchor with good holding bottom and plenty of swing room. Best to enter at slack tide.

  • img_9746 Approaching Cape Resurrection (on right) and Barwell Island (N59 51.58 W149 16.69). During WWII coastal artillery emplacements were built on top of Barwell Island to defend Resurrection Bay (ice free harbor). One wonders what you would do to get stationed on Barwell.
