Day Harbor June 20th to 23rd 2010

Over the Solstice weekend we sailed to Day Harbor where we spent two nights in Bowen Anchorage. Ellsworth glacier lies at the head of Day Harbor and makes for a spectacular view as your round Cape Resurrection and sail north toward Bowen Anchorage. We saw several whales - Humpback, Orca and possibly a Minke. We even had a Humpback swim right into Bowen Anchorage and feed just 20-30 feet offshore as we walked the beach. Outstanding trip!!
